The Mayor of Chula Vista, John McCann, and the Downtown Chula Vista Association announced the return of the Starlight Parade & Festival on Sunday, December 3rd after a 3 year hiatus!
Third Avenue, between H and E Streets, will come alive with the Starlight Festival kicking-off the festivities at 3:00pm, leading into the tree lighting ceremony at 5:45pm and then the grand finale, the Starlight Parade will begin at 6:00pm.
The Parade will feature over 100 entrants ranging from festive floats and marching bands to dance teams and classic cars.
“The City of Chula Vista is proud to announce the magical return of the Starlight Parade and Festival,” said Mayor John McCann. “After a three-year hiatus, we are preparing to bring the parade and festival that will be bigger and brighter than ever before. Before the parade, attendees can enjoy festivities such as the Holiday Market, rides on the Chula Vista Express and free family photos with Santa beginning at 3:00pm, all while enjoying live music from the stage at Memorial Park. And returning for its second year is the 25-foot-tall Christmas tree which will be lit during an official ceremony at 5:45pm!
