Get ready for a dazzling fireworks extravaganza! The City of Chula Vista is proud to announce that it will sponsor a magnificent fireworks display on Independence Day, starting at dusk, approximately 9 p.m. This highly anticipated event will take place at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center (CVEATC), located at 2800 Olympic Parkway.
The fireworks show, presented in collaboration with the City, CVEATC, Seven Mile Casino, and Local radio station Magic 92.5 promises to be a mesmerizing experience for all attendees. To enhance the visual spectacle, there will be simultaneous music playing on the renowned radio station Magic 92.5.
The fireworks will be launched from the athlete training grounds at CVEATC. Attendees can enjoy the breathtaking display either within the CVEATC premises or from the nearby Mountain Hawk Park. The CVEATC has the capacity to accommodate up to 5,000 people and 600 vehicles, ensuring ample space for everyone. Gates will open at 7 p.m., allowing visitors to secure their spots early. Additionally, parking at CVEATC is free of charge. See map for parking details.
To ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees, it is important to note several restrictions. Alcohol, smoking, pop-up tents, grills, and umbrellas are strictly prohibited within the premises of CVEATC. Furthermore, the use of drones and the presence of animals are also strictly forbidden. However, visitors are encouraged to bring blankets, portable chairs, and snacks to make their experience even more enjoyable. Several food trucks will also be available on-site for convenient food purchases.
For alternative parking options, New Hope Community Church, located at 2720 Olympic Parkway adjacent to the Training Center, offers additional free parking for approximately 300 vehicles. It is important to adhere to the same restrictions as mentioned earlier regarding alcohol, drones, and other prohibited items in the church parking lot.
Mountain Hawk Park, situated at 1475 Lake Crest Drive, will also be open to the public starting from 7:30 a.m. With a capacity to accommodate 3,000 people, the park is an excellent choice for those seeking a different vantage point for the fireworks. Street parking will be available on a first-come basis. However, park rules strictly prohibit the use of charcoal grills, glass bottles, and tents. As a reminder, all City parks will close promptly at 10 p.m.
