Chula Vista will kick off a "Love to Ride Active Transportation Expo Series" in Eastlake this weekend.
The event will be organized by the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition this coming Saturday morning, February 5th, at the Mountain Hawk Park located in Eastlake.
Saturday's event is being introduced with the objective of presenting transportation options within the public's community. This won't be the only Saturday for this expo series, however, as the coalition says that they will be the free expositions every Saturday throughout the month of February.
This event will be open to the public where there will be e-bike and scooter companies offering rides at no cost charge whatsoever for the public, along with professional bicycle instructors that will be attendance to teach skill demonstrations. And lastly, guided rides for families will also be presented for groups of multiple people to enjoy collectively.
City officials representing Chula Vista will be in attendance at this event Saturday morning, where they are expected to share additional information regarding active transportation alternatives offered in the city. The Bike Coalition will also be presented along with Scripps Children's hospital to gift attendees with free biking helmets and other prizes.
The Bike Coalition says that this event will give the public a new perspective on the countless of of benefits an individual gains from biking, including the physical health increase that comes with active riding.

The three remaining events after this Saturday's Transportation Expo are scheduled to take place at the Gompers Preparatory Academy on 47th St. next Saturday, followed by Linda Vista Library the week after on February 19th, wrapping it up at The Island located in Carlsbad on February 26th.
Based on map locations, locals residing in the South Bay are encouraged to attend tomorrow's event at Mountain Hawk Park, which will be the one and only "Love to Ride" event taking place this month in the South Bay area.
