This Holiday Season, Hair Slayers Studio wants to help as many families as possible by hosting their first annual Free Hair Cuts for Kids event on Dec. 12.
Three stylists will be available beginning at 9 a.m through 7 p.m to give hair cuts each half hour. Santa Claus will be there in the duration of the event, according to Owner Tanya Alfaro. Hair Slayers Studio opened in May, and they plan to continue this annual event for years to come.
In her time in school, Alfaro participated at Hope Church’s Free Haircuts for Kids.
“It was exciting to see how happy these kids were because a lot of them had never had professional hair cuts,” Alfaro said.
This event is open to children ages 2-15 by appointments only.There will be raffles for kids and limited appointments are available.
“They just feel so special after getting their hair cut. Getting their haircut can mean a lot to someone, so I just wanted to give back to the community,” Alfaro said.
Approximately 70 percent of the slots are filled for this event. However, Alfaro said another stylist can participate with increased registration of eligible youth. All Stylists are trained to work with all textures and styles and are all up to date with new techniques and products.
