Deputies dispatched about 10:05 p.m. Tuesday to the 2700 block of Central Avenue located a man in the middle of the street suffering from several gunshot wounds to the upper torso, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department reported.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, said Lt. Joseph Jarjura of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
''Additionally, another unknown male arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm and was expected to survive,'' Jarjura said. ''He was later identified as being the second victim in the shooting. Both identities are being withheld at this time due to the investigation.''
A motive for the shooting was unclear and there was no other immediate information.
