A 40 year old man driving a silver Mustang was hospitalized on Saturday after crashing onto the headquarters steps of the Chula Vista Police Department.
The motorist crashed onto the steps of the CVPD headquarters located at 315 Fourth Avenue at 2:45 p.m., according to Chula Vista Police Lt. L. Barrett. After further inspection, officers discovered he had suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to Lt. L. Barrer, the man was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
No other people were injured and no other information was immediately available.
