Latin singer Luis Enrique collaborates with Russian artist Leonid Agutin in a newly released single called “Asi de lento”.
Luis, a native Nicaraguan himself, has built a highly-respected career in the Latin music industry. And just like Leonid, Enrique prides himself in being an artist that takes great satisfaction in taking his talents to the international stage.
Meanwhile, this isn’t Agutin’s first rodeo in the Latin music scene. Last year the Russian superstar collaborated with Latin sensation Diego Torres, when they released the song “Quedate''. This was a big move for Agutin’s career, who over the course of his career has grown a passion for introducing Latin music rhythms to the old continent.
Agutin says that his previous experience with Latin music artist Diego Torres was an opportunity of a lifetime, and that it was a pleasure to have worked with another artist that shares a similar experience level of over three decades.
"I was incredibly lucky. Not only because my first single in Spanish was alongside a popular musician from Latin America, but because they are very similar artists. We are both musicians, authors, and interpreters. We both have millions of albums sold, almost 30 years of musical career, judges in talent shows in different countries, and overall, Diego is incredible, charismatic, and a person with a great heart.” Agutin stated.
The Russian songwriter has been in the industry since 1991, when he started off playing music throughout the Soviet Union era. And just one year later in 1992, Agutin won the international singing competition known as “Yalta”, followed by another competition known as “Jūrmala” in 1993.
Both icons from two separate continents are joined in the song by Rayko B, a Cuban-born pop star who has previously collaborated with global Latin superstars such as Carlos Vives, Diego Torres, Cristian Castro, and others.
“Asi de lento” has been released today and is available to stream through all music platforms.
