San Diego County invites young local artists to submit video and visual art submissions for the 2022 Our Health Deserves a Boost(er)! Youth Challenge, in an effort to highlight the importance of coronavirus vaccines. 

Youth ages 5 to 25 are encouraged to submit a TikTok, Instagram Reel, Facebook Story, YouTube video, painting, meme, poster, handout, flyer, or infographic about the positive health impacts vaccines have on communities. 

Eligible participants will be organized into three groups: Ages 5–11, Ages 12–17, and Ages 18–25, to potentially place in Platinum, Gold, or Silver categories. 

A winner in the platinum category will receive $1,200 with an award certificate signed by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors Chair Nathan Fletcher and County Public Health Officer Dr. Wilma Wooten.

A winner in this category will also have the opportunity to be featured on County websites, and for video or visual art to be shared through county media outlets. 

All submissions for choosing participant winners will be voted on by a panel of seven or more judges, including representatives from the Live Well San Diego Youth Leadership TeamSan Diego County Credit UnionBrown Marketing, and the County of San Diego

Participants must be San Diego County residents, and all submissions must be received by Saturday, July 23.
