The San Diego Loyal capture a big win against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.

Torero Stadium wanted to see the Loyal redeem themselves after a rough 5-0 defeat against Galaxy ll at home just 10 days ago. And they did.

Midfielder Jack Blake said after the match that the team wanted to come back with a big statement after disappointing their fans in their last fixture.

"Just amazing," said the British midfielder. "I feel like we want to come out and give the fans what they were hoping to get last weekend. I hope we did that tonight, and we send our fans home happy, and that's the most important thing. We've got the 3 points."

With this huge victory, the San Diego Loyal inch closer and closer to the very top of the league standings after last night's showdown.

Thomas Amang, Tumi Moshobane and Jack Blake each got on the scoresheet for San Diego, a huge statement performance against the team they are just two points behind on the league standings. This also becomes the Loyal's second victory over the Switchbacks.

The recent victory over the Colorado-based team came on Independence Day earlier this month, in a match where San Diego won that match in a comeback victory with a scoreboard of 3-2. That match was sealed by a game-winning goal scored from Evan Conway in crunch time. This time, however, there was no need of a comeback, as San Diego had full-control of the match for the first minute of the game.

In this match, San Diego scored their 24th first-half goal of their season, which is the most in the USL Championship so far this year.

The San Diego Loyal will be hosting another home match this coming Saturday night when they host the Rio Grande Valley FC Toros at the Torero Stadium.

Tickets are going on sale available at sdloyal.com/tickets.
