Trey White of Eastlake High School Titans football team made his college decision announcement publicly on Oct. 20 on local channel KUSI. Trey had narrowed down his selection to only six universities: Airforce, Army, Arizona, Northern Arizona, Cal Poly and San Diego State University (SDSU).
In choosing a college he said "I'm looking for [a college] that has my major, takes academics seriously, and as far as football, has a winning program, great coaching staff and brotherhood". He chose to remain in his home town and is set to attend San Diego State University.
Trey began playing football as offense but developed his skills as defense, he was named Defensive Player of the Year in May 2021 by the Metro-Mesa League. Of choosing SDSU he said he chose it because of "the level of play, they are in the top 25 nationally, they have a championship mindset and that is what I was looking for."
