The city of San Diego will put on December Nights at Balboa Park, the largest free holiday festival that brings families together from throughout the region to kick-start the holiday season.
December Nights is a free family-friendly event that takes place on Dec. 2 from 3 p.m. through 11 p.m., and Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. Those in attendance can find live performances, dancers, choir performances, specialty foods, and holiday-themed attractions to explore.
According to the city, approximately 350,000 people are expected to attend.
This year, the city partnered with PATH San Diego and San Diego Gas & Electric for a Sock Drive to benefit unhoused San Diegans. December Nights attendees can drop off socks at the SDG&E booth during the December Nights festivities – just look for the all-electric SDG&E truck. SDG&E is proud to partner with PATH San Diego to support those in need this holiday season.
According to organizers, the Toyota Sienna Sleigh will also be on-site on December Nights to support SDG&E and PATH sock donations.
