It's the beginning of the week, which means it is our duty to show you what's going on in San Diego this weekend. 

Here are 5 activities you and your loved ones can attend this weekend. 

1. Hillcrest Cityfest @ Uptown District

Sun, Aug 14, 7 AM – 11 PM

This CityFest in Hillcrest brings a variety of fun activities for locals to enjoy. The Art and Music festival will feature multiple live bands on site, along with a live electronic dance DJ, arts, crafts, and food vendors. The festival begins at noon over on University Ave. & Fifth Ave., Hillcrest. 

2. San Diego International Children's Film Festival 

Sat, Aug 13, 10 AM – 5 PM @ San Diego Central Library

This is a great activity to enjoy with your family this weekend in San Diego, as the 18th San Diego International Children's Film Festival kicks-off at the San Diego Central Library in Downtown. This Film Festival presents a variety of short films from International productions. Film makers and adimators will be appearing as well. 

3. Jim Gaffigan

Sun, Aug 14, 7:30 – 11:00 PM @ The Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre

If you're a fan of comedy, you recognize this name loud and clear. James Gaffigan is an American stand-up comedian who centers his comedy in some of the biggest topics in today's world, such as fatherhood, food, religion, and more. He's also known for using very little profanity in his material. 

4. Sexy Saturdays – MO LYON 

Sat, Aug 13, 10 PM – @ Sevilla Nightclub of San Diego

Sevilla nightclub is going to be going up this Saturday, as MO LYON brings the house down with the hottest hits in music today. Go dance to the biggest hits in Club music, Reggaeton and Top 40s.

5. The Sully Band @ Mike Hess Brewing Imperial Beach 

Sat, Aug 13, 11 AM

The Sully Band is a Grammy Award-winning group will be playing some live music at the Mike Hess Brewing in Imperial Beach this Saturday. The band has musicians who have also been nominated for a Tony Award in the past. The band is known for playing a style of music that combines R&B and Funk, along with some Soul and Reggae for additional flavor in their music.
