UC San Diego Health unveils new clinic for patients dealing with conditions involving the gastrointestinal and digestive system.
Today, Monday April 18, it was announced that UCSD Health has opened this new clinic at the Westfield UTC shopping mall, located in La Jolla, becoming its first clinic in the county that serves this particular group of patients.
This new clinic will offer special care provided by medical specialists for patients dealing with issues involving different areas of the body, including the stomach, esophagus, intestines and colon.
The team of medical specialists will consist of physicians, surgeons, endoscopists, oncologists, radiologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists and dieticians.
Patients with reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, hernias, obesity and cancer will all be eligible to receive medical attention by the team of specialists.
Dr. Christopher Kane, CEO of UCSD Health Physician Group says that they are excited to open this clinic and serve patients in need of medical and surgical treatment provided by their specialists.

Dr. Sonia Ramamoorthy, chief of the division of colon and rectal surgery at UCSD Health, says that future patients will be treated with top-quality medical care treatment, and will receive "the most superb experience" when they walk through those doors.

The new clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm, located at 4303 La Jolla Village Drive, Suite 2110 in La Jolla's Westfield UTC.
