According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, a 37-year-old man from East County was arrested on multiple felony charges related to narcotics and illegal firearms possession following a routine traffic stop in Lakeside.
Deputies from the Lakeside Sheriff's Substation pulled over Michael Tesch, who was driving a motorcycle with an expired registration, just before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
They discovered that the motorcycle was stolen and took Tesch into custody.
Subsequently, a search warrant was obtained for Tesch's apartment in the 13000 block of Interstate 8 Business in unincorporated El Cajon, where deputies found a loaded firearm that was not registered, 12 ounces of methamphetamine, 8 ounces of fentanyl, 145 M30 fentanyl pills, about $2,700 in cash, and other drug sales paraphernalia.
Tesch was charged with multiple felonies related to narcotics sales, illegal firearms possession, and auto theft and was booked into San Diego Central Jail.
