The event will be held at the department headquarters, situated at 315 Fourth Avenue in Chula Vista, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. National Night Out is a nationwide initiative that aims to foster stronger police-community partnerships and promote neighborhood camaraderie, ultimately creating safer and more caring communities.

Families and individuals attending the event can look forward to a variety of engaging activities and informative demonstrations. The festivities kick off with a heartwarming performance of the national anthem, sung by local favorite Melanie Jimenez. Guided tours of the headquarters will be offered, giving visitors an inside look into police operations.

The Chula Vista Police Department will also showcase their impressive capabilities, with thrilling K9 demonstrations and a Jaws of Life display by the Chula Vista Fire Department. Officers from special teams like S.W.A.T., Mobile Field Force, and the UAS (Drone) Team will be on hand to interact with attendees and provide insights into their roles.

The Chula Vista Police Hot Rod and a Chula Vista Fire Engine will both be on exhibit, providing plenty of photo opportunities. The Police BearCat armored rescue vehicle will also be open for exploration.

Throughout the event, various vendors will offer free food. Tacos El Gordo will serve out their famous tacos while supplies last.
