Fiesta del Sol is returning to Solana Beach with an even bigger music line-up.
The music festival is kicking off this May 21 and 22, with a brand new lay out for this highly-anticipated return.
Fiesta del Sol returns to Solana Beach May 21-22 with a new layout and bigger-than-ever music lineup. This return has been long-awaited now since the pause of this festival due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which eventually stalled all big events throughout the country, and around the world for over two years.
The 41st annual of the festival happening on the weekend before Memorial Day, which comes just in time to launch San Diego into summer of 2022.
This festival is being presented by the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce that is partnering with the historic Belly Up concert venue to make this event happen.
With food trucks, arts, crafts, interactive games and a family play area, this FREE event will provide a family-oriented environment that San Diegans can enjoy.
The Belly Up's main stage will include performances by reggae legend Don Carlos, Common Sense, Thee Sacred Souls, BETAMAXX, Daring Greatly, ThePettyBreakers, The Sully Band, Atomic Groove, Bella Lux, The Rockademy and many more.
91x's DJ Lou Niles and local surf figure Chris Cole will be the hosts of the event over the weekend.
President of Belly Up Entertainment Chris Goldsmith is excited to get this festival rolling again after waiting over 48 months for this tradition to come back to North County.
“After two years of shutdowns and surges, North County is ready to celebrate with this awesome, annual tradition,” said Chris Goldsmith, president of Belly Up Entertainment.
Co-president of Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce Ron Blumberg says has also expressed his excitement to bring back the most-celebrated annual summer event in North County.
“We have missed throwing Solana Beach’s most-celebrated party and can’t wait to get back to this great, community tradition,” said Ron Blumberg, co-president, Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce.
The party will be running as early as 9am to 10pm on Saturday May 21, and 9am to 8pm on Sunday May 22.
There will be free parking on site along with a shuttle that operates from the dirt lot located at South Sierra and Border avenues. However, event organizers encourage those in attendance to ride bikes or take a train to avoid traffic to the event.
