A 75-year-old man playing with his dog was assaulted at Heritage park last week, and the Chula Vista Police Department seeks more information regarding the incident.
The victim was playing with his dog near the basketball court at about 7:35 p.m. when a basketball player left the court to punch the elderly man and his dog twice, the CVPD tweeted.
Authorities describe the suspect as a male with a thin build and light brown skin tone in his 20, who is about 5’8” to 5’10” and weighs roughly 150-170 lbs. The assailant is described to have black, wavy, shoulder-length hair and was wearing a white shirt or tank top, an unknown color shorts with white, black & red shoes.
CVPD believes the man fled the scene with a female companion in a dark-colored sedan, which police say could be possibly a BMW or Volkswagen Jetta.
Authorities did not explain the attacker’s motive or the conditions of the victims.
