A total of four vehicles were found on fire early Monday morning after several residents report hearing explosions according to Chula Vista Police and Fire personnel.

First responders were called to a home near Ocala Avenue near Tamarack Street at approximately 2:45 a.m. No injuries were reported in the incident, which appeared to be suspicious in nature according to officials who are investigating this potential case of arson.

Three vehicles and a boat were found in flames at the scene. Chula Vista Fire Battalion Chief David Albright told OnScene TV they are looking into surveillance cameras near the home for any footage that may help in the investigation. Investigators will bring in experts to help assess the potential cause to the fires.

The home sustained smoke damage according to Chief David. Officials said the fire was suspicious because the ignited vehicles were not touching one another.

No additional details are available at this time.
