A kidnapping victim and her 18-month-old daughter were found safe in Otay Mesa after a patron from a 7-Eleven heard their plea for help.

Pico Rivera Sheriffs' deputies said that the 24-year-old Bianca Alvarado's ex-husband, Jason Gasca, grabbed them in Orange County. An Amber Alert for the woman and her 18-month-old, Ella Gasca was activated by the California Highway Patrol on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

While driving through San Diego in a Black 2015 Nissan Sentra, Gasca and the kidnapping victims stopped at a 7-Eleven off Siempre Viva Road near the Port of Entry in Otay Mesa, where Alvarado was able to make contact with another patrol who called the police. Authorities began the search of the area and notified border officials, according to OnScene T.V.

The mother and child were rescued from a Quality Suites near the Port of Entry in Otay Mesa. Gasca surrendered peacefully, NBC 7 reported.
