The Chula Vista Police Department identified a person of interest in the fatal shooting of Eduardo Villasenor near the intersection of Broadway and E Street in Chula Vista.

Authorities have identified Angel Bojorquez, who is believed to be in his early to mid-twenties, as the person of interest in the Oct. 26 fatal shooting of Eduardo Villasenor. The shooting occured near the intersection of Broadway and E Street in Chula Vista at around 10 a.m.

The suspect has ties to Tijuana, as well as Chula Vista and San Diego, where he was believed to be living when the incident occurred, according to the CVPD.  

The suspect and the victim were seen driving westbound on E street in two separate vehicles before the shooting, according to witness accounts. Both vehicles stopped along the roadway, exited the vehicles, and approached each other. 

One of the drivers then shot the other and fled the scene in a gray 4-door 2010 Nissan Altama with California license plate number 8NYE678. Officers responded and found the victim in the driver seat of his black Nissan Altama, which was stopped along the north curb in front of 593 E Street. 

According to Chula Vista police, the victim had multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. 

The suspect vehicle was described as having a dent on the left (driver-side) rear quarter panel, a circular sticker on the left side of the trunk, and a sticker on the right side (passenger side) rear window. 

Police have not yet located the vehicle.
