The San Diego Police Department arrested a babysitter charged with a series of child molestation cases and is encouraging other victims to speak out.
Detectives with the San Diego Police Department’s Child Abuse Unit arrested 22-year-old Zayne St. Julien of Poway in connection to three separate child molestation cases in the San Diego Region.
The incidents took place between July and December 2022 and involved three unrelated incidents involving boys who were seven, eight, and 11 years old, according to San Diego Police Lt. Adam Sharki. In each case, the boy’s parents hired St. Julien, who was employed through a babysitting website called SitterCity.
One of the three parents reported the molestation of her child to the police in November. After a thorough investigation, two other boys were identified as victims. Their parents reported their children’s molestations to detectives in December. St. Julien reportedly committed each molestation in the boys’ homes.
The San Diego Police Department, along with assistance from the San Diego Harbor Police, arrested St. Julien as he was leaving an airplane at the San Diego International Airport. Authorities booked St. Julien on several child molestation charges.
The investigation is ongoing and authorities are seeking anyone with information regarding St.Julien. Authorities believe St.Julien may have targeted other victims, and are asked to call the San Diego Police Department Child Abuse Unit at (619) 531-2260 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
