Family of long-missing Chula Vista Mother Mays “May” Millete is pleading her husband Larry Millete to reveal the location of her remains.

Larry Millete was arrested by the Chula Vista Police Department and their partners on Oct.19. He pleaded not guilty at his first appearance in court to the charges of first-degree murder and illegal possession of an assault weapon.

“We're praying he'll do it for his kids, that he'll let them know where mommy is," Maya Millete's older sister, Maricris Drouaillet said publicly. "We believe he's not that evil and hopefully he'll have a change of heart."

Maya was last seen over nine months ago in her family home on Jan.7. Authorities report Maya’s final phone calls were to the divorce attorney with whom she scheduled an appointment for Jan.12 to proceed with the divorce. According to San Diego County District Attorney Summer Stephan,  Maya did not meet with the attorney sooner due to her daughter’s planned birthday celebration on Jan.10.

The Chula Vista Police Department made it very clear the remains of Maya have not been found.

“A missing body is circumstantial evidence that there was foul play and that it’s a murder,” District Attorney Summer Stephan stated during a news conference. “Somebody who takes their own life cannot hide their body,” Summer said.

Authorities reported Larry Millete claimed to have spent more than 11 hours at Solana beach with his 4 year old son. According to Stephan, authorities believe that Maya’s remains may be roughly 2.5 hours from the family’s home while the search areas are still vast.

"The investigation in this case, while we know that Larry Millete is responsible for the murder, is ongoing, and bringing [Maya] home to have a proper burial for her family is ongoing,"

Anyone with information on Maya's whereabouts can reach out to detectives at (619) 691-5139 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
