“We have a tremendously outstanding city manager who has done a tremendous job. I know a lot of times she's working behind the scenes, and she's not out there saying ‘look at me', but I want to make sure that we publicly acknowledge how great of a job she has done. Not only with the budget, but also with these great projects and getting the Bayfront over the goal line, and we're just looking for many more years to come of the city's greatness,” Councilmember John McCann said during the meeting.
According to a city staff report, the city received notification from the Judicial Council of California on July 20, of “a salary change for the position of Judge of the Superior Court of the State of California, to which the salaries for Councilmembers, the Mayor and elected City Attorney are tied and made the appropriate changes retroactive to July 1, 2022.” With this change, the annual base pay for the city attorney is $229,125, the mayor at $151,222, and council members at $60,490.
Along with these changes, the city council opened positions for an animal care facility supervisor and an information technology security analyst.
