The Chula Police Department search for the driver of an SUV that caused a vehicle to roll over in a collision early Monday morning.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 12:45 a.m. in the 500 block of Broadway.
A white Kia sedan was pulling into Broadway when an oncoming Jeep Grand Cherokee hit the front car, according to ABC 10 who first reported the incident. The Jeep lost control and rolled over several times before it stopped on it’s roof.
The driver of the SUV fled the scene, leaving a passenger behind in the wreckage. A description of the SUV’s driver was not immediately available.
According to authorities, the responding paramedics treated the passenger who was transported to the hospital. The Kia’s driver remained uninjured.
The conditions of the SUV passenger remain unknown.
A box of Modelo beer and empty beet bottles were discovered inside the SUV by police.
