The Chula Vista Revitalization Committee will hold a meeting on Thursday to discuss community mural initiatives along with looking into strategies on how to increase business by focusing on revitalization efforts.

The in-person meeting will take place on Feb.16 at 3 p.m. in the Chula Vista Police Department Community Room, located at 315 Fourth Avenue. Residents, youth, and Broadway Businesses will be encouraged to join the conversation on Community Mural Initiatives and new ways to increase businesses by focusing on revitalization.

South Bay Youth for Change students and volunteers plan to paint murals on businesses that highlight the value of living an alcohol- and drug-free lifestyle.

Envision Broadway is a project of the Institute for Public Strategies, a nonprofit working with partners to create a thriving, multi-cultural business district to serve as the gateway to the bay, where the Chula Vista Bayfront project is underway.

Business owners, employees, and residents are encouraged to join the Revitalization Committee by emailing Program Manager Sarah Boyer at sboyer@publicstrategies.org or visiting Envision Broadway online.
