The Chula Vista Community Foundation announced the availability of grant funding of up to $50,000 to programs that support the needs of children and families within Chula Vista.
The Chula Vista Community Foundation, a regional affiliate of the San Diego Foundation, invited local nonprofit organizations last month to submit project proposals specifically for Chula Vista with special consideration given to proposals that address mental health and wellness and physical well-being. The deadline to submit these proposals is no later than 5 p.m. on Nov. 23. Grant guidelines including directions on how to register and apply can be accessed on the CVCF website.
The CVFD will award up to $50,ooo to programs that t support the needs of children and families in the areas of Mental Health, Healthy Lifestyles, Health and Wellbeing, Childcare/after-school care, self sufficiency, food insecurity, housing insecurity and domestic violence.
“Through our current grant cycle, we want to work with local organizations closest to our youth and families to ensure that, as a community, we’re uplifting the mental health and physical well-being of our families and children.” Lisa Johnson, CVCF board chair said in a statement.
Since 2011, CVCF has granted more than $600,000 to almost 40 nonprofit programs that strengthen the quality of life for all who live, work, and enjoy Chula Vista. Grant guidelines including directions on how to register and apply can be accessed on the CVCF website.
