A silver sedan crashed into a fire hydrant in a Chula Vista suburb early Thursday morning causing an eruption of water that surpassed the height of nearby two-story homes. 

The Chula Vista Fire Department incident logs the incident on Northwoods Drive near Adirondack Place at approximately 5:50 a.m. 

Crews were able to shut the gushing water at around 6:30 a.m. Firefighters, police officers, and the Otay Water District crews were present at the scene. 

Authorities report no injuries from the incident. The crash remained under investigation Thursday morning.

No other information was made available.
