The first-ever “Make Believe at the Mall” day is coming to Chula Vista to encourage imagination and interactive play.
The event will be hosted at the Otay Ranch Town Center on April 26 from 5 to 7 p.m during the center’s weekly farmers market.
According to event organizers, it is designed to encourage imagination and interactive play, the free event will feature numerous activities, crafts, and storytimes designed around the power of imagination and make-believe.
Kids of all ages are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite make-believe or superhero character and will also have the chance to make their own superhero creations at a craft station.
This new event is an updated twist on the mall's previous "Prince and Princess Party" event.
"We really wanted to expand the breadth and scope of this event to be even more inclusive and give kids increased opportunities to stretch their minds with imaginative play. All types of make-believe are welcome and encouraged!" said Otay Ranch Town Center General Manager Tim Kilcourse.
In addition to the lineup of the market's regular selection of certified farm stands, unique street foods, and handicraft items, families can enjoy a number of free activities, including:
– Superhero and Fairytale themed make-and-take crafts
– Story times at 5:30 and 6:30 hosted by the Chula Vista Library
– Make Your Own Superhero station
– Face painting
– Princess inspired hairdos and crowns
– Interactive 360 Photo Station with multiple theme options
