The Alzheimer's Association San Diego and Imperial Counties chapter is hosting a Bilingual Brian Health Community Forum on Thursday in Chula Vista to connect with the community.

The community forum will be held on Dec. 8 at the Norman Park Senior Center at 270 F St. From 9:30 to 11 a.m. The free event is open to the public, and it will be held in both English and Spanish.

Event organizers describe the event as a “listening session on Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and memory loss” to hear about experiences with the disease and open discussions about how the association can better support the community.

“Together, we can help enhance care and support resources for those facing this disease,” the association wrote in a statement.

In collaboration with AARP, the forum will have interactive activities for all participants and will have other local organizations in attendance. Refreshments and snacks will be provided during the event.

Those in attendance are asked to RSVP, though it is not required. To register, visit https://www.communityresourcefinder.org/ResourceView/Index?id=2718172&profileDefinitionId=93 .
