March and Ash partnered with Community Through Hope, Feeding San Diego, North County Food Bank, and Imperial Valley Food Bank to help those in our community who face food insecurity through a holiday food drive.

The holiday food drive will run through Dec. 28 at Mission Valley, Chula Vista, Imperial Valley, and Vista locations. Community members may drop off nonperishable foods for a 15% discount on in-store purchases that day.

According to organizers, the donation discount cannot be combined with any other offers, and the limit is one store discount per person per day.

March and Ash in Chula Vista are located at 684 Telegraph Canyon Rd. Food donations at this location will go toward Community Through Hope, an organization based in the South Bay that helps address food insecurity and assist the unsheltered.

Donations will be accepted in-store only, and the donation bins are located in the lobby.

For in-store donations, let the receptionist know that you have food items to donate for the food drive. They will check and count the number of food items and issue a 15% discount accordingly.

March and Ash provided a list of nonperishable food items people can donate.

Pop top or easy open cans are strongly preferred.

The most needed food items include:

  • canned meats
  • canned fish
  • canned vegetables
  • canned fruits
  • canned soups & stews
  • peanut butter
  • cereal and oatmeal
  • supplemental shakes like Ensure
  • infant formula

Glass containers, homemade food, opened food, or expired items will NOT be accepted. Food must be in sealed packaging.
