The largest Earth Day celebration in South County is scheduled to take place on April 15 at Bayfront Park for a free, family-friendly event that aims to build awareness about sustainability and our impact on the earth.
The event will take place on April 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bayfront Park, located at 980 Maring Way in Chula Vista. There will be fun interactive activities for families to enjoy.
South Bay Earth Day is an inclusive event that provides a space for all to learn how to live an environmentally-friendly lifestyle that is mutually beneficial for you and Mother Earth. The event will observe zero-waste practices followed by over 50 green vendors, a showcase of eco-conscious products, programs, and hands-on green activities geared toward education, conservation, recycling, and sustainability.
According to the city, the event is curated for both those already living an eco-friendly lifestyle, and for newcomers looking for a starting point to go green, the event includes workshops such as Zero-Waste Living, Food Waste Tips and Tricks, Ask the Recycler, and Electrifying Your Home.
