A teenage boy was shot in the arm early Sunday morning after a house party in the Otay Mesa West neighborhood. 

According to 619 News Media, the incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the area of 3700 block of Palm Ave. The party was coming to an end and an argument broke out among a group of people as they were leaving. 

A suspect fired several rounds, striking a 16-year-old boy in the arm. It remains unclear what lead to the argument, or the nature of the argument. 

According to San Diego Police Officer Robert Helms, the victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Police said no suspect descriptions were available. 

The San Diego Police Southern Division Detectives are investigating the incident. 

There have been several shootings involving teenagers under the age of 18  throughout the South Bay in the last two months. 

A 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in the early hours of Nov. 12  after a fight broke out during a house party in the 900 block of Rigley Street, leaving two others injured.

On Oct. 29, a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man were fatally shot during a National City House Party. 

The suspects remain at large.
