The Chula Vista Elementary School District is asking the community to share their stories to celebrate its 130 years of operation.
To celebrate, the district asks past and present students, teachers, staff, and other community members to submit any photos or stories for a chance to be featured in its 130th-anniversary campaign.
“For 130 years, the District has aimed to provide an excellent education at our safe, modernized, award-winning facilities. Our mission is to nurture every student's imagination, intellect, and sense of inquiry,” the district wrote on its website.
The Chula Vista Elementary School District welcomed students back on campus on July 20, 2022, for the beginning of the new school year. According to the district superintendent Dr. Eduardo Reyes, the focus is on teaching and learning with a vision of purpose.
“This school year has added significance as it marks our District’s 130th anniversary as a school district. We are proud of our long history of providing outstanding education to our local students,” Reyes said.
