Chula Vista mayoral candidates will be available to answer questions and connect with residents in an upcoming forum.
The Institute for Public Strategies will be hosting the 2022 Chula Vista Candidate Forum on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Chula Vista Presbyterian Church.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the six mayoral candidates regarding policy, safety, education, and any community-related concerns.
The most recent mayoral candidate form was held on Oct.28, which gave four democratic candidates a platform via zoom to speak on their approaches to solving the housing crisis, homelessness,economic development and the utilization of COVID-19 funds.
Chula Vista Mayor Mary Casillas Salas has reached the end of her second term in office and is unable to run for re-election.She is the city's first Latina mayor and was sworned into office on December 2014 and began her second term in 2018.
