The San Diego Police Department asks for the public’s help in locating and identifying a suspect wanted for the kidnapping and sexual assault in Pacific Beach last week.
A 24-year-old victim was walking alone in the 14000 block of Pacific Beach Drive on Aug.13 when an unidentified male suspect drove to the victim and asked if she was lost, offering her a ride. Police said the victim declined the offer and continued walking.
The suspect approached the victim from behind and placed her in his older model tan or gold-colored sedan, where he sexually assaulted her. The suspect then drove the victim to the 2100 block of Pacific Beach Drive where she was able to exit the vehicle and flee the area.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male with a mustache, between 30 to 40 years old, 200 lbs., 5’6” to 5’7” tall, with short, dark brown hair, with a receding hairline. The victim told police he was wearing a white or tan shirt and shorts.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case.
