The San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigates a Chula Vista apartment Thursday morning.

An investigator of the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force was seen Thursday morning unloading several boxes of equipment from a van at Villa Marina Apartments located at 644-658 Moss street. According to San Diego police Sgt. Garrick Nugent this is an active an open investigation in regards to the collection of child sexual abuse materials. 

The items taken by the San Diego ICAC Task force are electronic in nature. The items apprehended in the investigation will be taken to the ICAC office for forensic analysis which takes approximately two weeks to complete according to Nugent. Some of the items may be sent off to the regional computer forensics laboratory ran by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

No further information can be provided since this is an ongoing and active investigation. Nugent said more information may be available in the upcoming weeks.
