Authorities are searching for a suspect wanted for domestic violence related offenses and child abuse invoilving a 8-month old infant. 

Officers from the Chula Vista Police Department attempted to stop Tyler Turner, 25, who drove a gray 2015 Jeep Patriot around 4:15 p.m in the 1500 block of Yanonali Avenue, Chula Vista.

According to police in a press release, the driver of the vehicle stopped and exited the vehicle without incident. Turner then proceeded to get into the driver’s seat of the vehicle and then drove away. 

The CVPD was joined by California Highway Patrol and the San Diego Police Department as officers pursued Turner on various surface streets and highways in Chula Vista and San Diego. 

Despite all efforts, Turner continued to flee from police. The chase eventually ended. 

Law enforcement air support observed Turner flee into an apartment complex located in the 6000 block of Reflection Drive in San Diego

“Officers conducted a search of the complex and Turner was not located. Turner is wanted for various charges, including domestic violence, criminal threats, child endangerment, evading police and violating a domestic violence restraining order,” the department said.
