A string of robberies at multiple South Bay 7-Eleven convenience stores occurred early Sunday morning.
Authorities suspect that one person was responsible for robbing three 7-Eleven convenience stores at gunpoint in the span of a couple of hours. According to the Chula Vista Police Department, a suspect is yet to be in custody.
At around 4:30 a.mThe first robbery was said to take place in an unincorporated area at a store on Bonita Road near Frisbee street. According to authorities, a man walked up to the clerk, flashed a gun, and fled when he took cash.
Police say two stores in Chula Vista were robbed about a half-hour later. The man in these two robberies matched the actions of the Bonita robbery, showing a handgun and taking cash from clerks at a store on Broadway and Naples Street and then another on Third Avenue and L Street.
