The Chula Vista Elementary School District will kick off the school year with its inaugural Community Expo on Saturday on July 23 at the district headquarters.
The district staff and community service representatives will be on hand to assist families at the District office located at 84 East J Street in Chula Vista from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Families may receive assistance in student placement/registration, social workers, military family support, and Live Well Bus for Heath Screening and vaccination card completion.
“One of our top priorities for our District is to provide the resources that every family needs to have a successful school year,” said Superintendent Dr. Eduardo Reyes in a statement. “The Community Expo will be the first of its kind for District families and will provide a one-stop-shop for addressing the various needs of our community.”
Other community services will be available on site, including Child Nutrition Services, Family Resource Center, and the Chula Vista Community Collaborative.
